The Romanian people has created and preserved an immense and invaluable folk treasure, varied and exceptionally beautiful songs and dances through which it expresses its rich soul and its spiritual qualities.

The folk group “Arieşana – Fiii Moţilor” is among the folk dance and music groups with an outstanding presence in Romania’s folk scenery. It carries out its activity in Turda and Mihai Viteazu, old towns of Transylvania situated on the banks of Arieş river at the foot of the Western  Carpathians. Founded in 1948, the group took part in various national and international festivals. It brings on stage representative musical and choreographic creations from the most important folk regions of Romania: Transylvania, Moldavia, Wallachia, Banat and Dobrogea.

The rich variety of the selected repertoire and of the traditional costumes are a proof of the Romanians’ character, temperament, force, wisdom and humour.
