July 2011 - Finalist of the competition 'Laboratorio del espacio' in Madrid with the piece Teocalli.

November 2010 - Finalist of the SYNC2010 competition in Russia with the piece Sarnath.

September 2010 - Finalist of the 2011 Luc Ferrari Hörspiel competition in France.

December 2008 - Second prize with the piece Ciguri at the CEMVA composition competition in Brazil.

July 2008 - First prize with the piece Ciguri at the Citta di Udine International Composition Competition in Italy.

June 2006 - Vinson Award from the Music Department, University of York.

May 2006 - BAFTA award for the radioplay The Glassman with music composed by Neil Sorrell, produced by Felipe Otondo and comissioned by BBC Radio 2.

April 2006 - Arts and Humanities Research Council doctoral award.
